Scary Storytelling

 

This lesson provides an opportunity for the teacher and students to share scary stories.  The goal

is to build respect and trust with each other through creative writing, reading and listening activities.

 

Peace Building and Conflict


This lesson plan includes a number of different creative writing and group activities to

help  students interact with each other.  Students will gather, collect and retell

origin stories from other cultures and write a story in their small groups.

Creative Writing Portfolio

 

This project includes writing creatively and sharing stories with others in order to build

peace and community in the classroom. The lesson plan includes several warm up and post

writing activities to provide students opportunities to share and reflect on their writing.

This grade 12 art unit is designed to encourage students to use their knowledge of art language

to describe and analyze visual images, and to inspire creative storytelling in their interpretations. 

It also involves the use of guided imagery to inspire creative journaling and visual expression.

Right Start to College


This plan is designed to be used at various times during different courses in the Para-Education Diploma

Program at Red River College.  It includes many activities that involve storytelling to develop and build

communties and to provied students the opportunity to make peace with various aspects of themselves.
