This lesson provides an opportunity for the teacher and students to share scary stories. The goal
is to build respect and trust with each other through creative writing, reading and listening activities.

This is a community history project that studnets conduct and carry our over a course
of six months. The students will self-reflect by writing their own autobiography's,
make a family tree and collect stories from members of the community.

This project includes writing creatively and sharing stories with other in order to build
peace and community in the classroom. The lesson plan includes several warm up and post
writing activities to provide students opportunities to share and reflect on their writing.

aboriginal culture and traditions. Students will also have the opportunity to explore various cultural
perspectives about astronomy and be involved in various activities that involve storytelling.

This social studies lesson uses a story of the Moai statues of Easter Island to discuss
the culture and mystery behind the island. Students work together in small groups
to create their own story of how the statues came to be there.

This Cherokee story of two wolves lends itself to an exploration of each student's personal
values as well as allowing for them to discover what kind of person they want to
be. Students will have an opportunity to respond to the story using art and drama.

This plan was organized for Bully Prevention Week. The students and facilitator will sit in
a circle so that everyone has an opportunity to participate in the discussion.
The story The Good Samaritan will be adapted to a more modern day setting.

This plan will use a story sharing module for a grade eight advisory programme. Students listen, share, create, and reflect on stories. The goal is to strengthen community, develop empathy, democratize advisor groups, inspire students to initiate discussion topics and reach outside of their communties.

This activity will involve students crating a map of their childhood home, which will be shared with
classmates. Students will learn about themselves and their classmates while developing their writing
skills. Each students will chose one incident that they would like to write about as a final project.

This project is to finish the unit on fractions with a fun activity that incorporates using fractions in
everyday life. Each student will contribute a favourite family recipe and calculate the ration of yield to feed
the class. The class will compile a recipe book and share family stories about their favorite foods.

In this lesson students will become familiar with a variety of 'Pourquoi Tales' and be able
to present one particulate tale as a group to their peers by means of dramatic play. This
activity has been chosen to encourage students to work together and leave their confort zone.

This lesson plan incorporates storytelling and read alouds with important meaning
from books such as Chicken Soup that deal with conflict situations. This followed by
either a discussion of personal conflict situation and/or a journal reflective activity.
